Exercise
“Efficiency is doing better what is already being done.”
– Peter Drucker
The first thing to know about achieving quality
workout results is that you must have a proper diet. So, if you
haven't read the nutrition section of
this site, do it now! Trust me, if you do not equip your body with
adequate fuel, you will never get the maximum results from your
workouts.
When Less is More
If you've read and follow some of the more popular articles or books on exercise, what I'm about to say may surprise you: To attain the best results, you probably need to work out less.
Don't work out at all right now? If you're one of those people that think you don't have the time in your schedule to fit in workouts, this is the program for you! I'm talking about only five 20-30 minute workouts spread over two weeks. You can spend less time working out in two weeks than some people spend in a single session. Really.
The Know How program focuses on using your time efficiently during a workout. To be efficient, you must ensure that no exercise motion is wasted and that you maximize the order of your exercises. Note that this does not mean doing your exercises faster; it's quite the opposite. Utilizing proper timing and controlled motions is key to getting results.
Getting Intense
By now you might be wondering what the catch is
(there's always a catch, right?) Okay, there is one critical variable
that I've yet to mention: intensity. Just as achieving
efficiency in business often requires more productivity from existing
resources, the Know How program focuses on making your
most important resource – your body – work at its peak
level. In doing so, your body is able to quickly build muscle mass.
When you've increased muscle mass, your body actually uses more
calories –even when you are at rest (like, say, watching television
or sleeping). Those additional calories that you are burning from
the muscle you've gained make it that much easier to lose those
pesky pounds of fat.
What the Know How Program Does:
- Provides the truth about getting the workout results you want
- Shows you how to achieve better results in less time
- Explains various muscle groups and how to best target them with proper motion and timing
